We help and support children with
- Speech difficulties: using the correct sounds, substituting sounds, leaving sounds out or producing extra sounds in words.
- Verbal dyspraxia: Making and co-ordinating precise movements needed to produce clear speech.
- Understanding difficulties: understanding instructions, directions and language.
- Auditory processing difficulties: remembering and processing instructions from verbally given information.
- Expressive language difficulties: putting sentences together correctly and using correct grammar forms such as: pronouns, verbs and prepositions.
- Literacy difficulties: reading, writing, spelling, rhyming, syllable counting, learning sight words, sounding out and knowing which sound letters make.
- Word finding difficulties: having trouble searching for key words to fit into a sentence.
- Stuttering: repeating sounds, syllables whole words or phrases. Difficulty producing the target sound.
- Late Talking: children who have not started talking or using single words by 2 years-old and/or have a limited vocabulary.
- Social communication skills: conversation skills, understanding social cues and relationship building based on communication strategies.
- Fussy eating: children who dislike eating certain foods or textures.
- Listening and attention difficulties: listening and attention skills underpin language development, therefore is an essential skill to have to further language development, follow instructions, understand information and talk.
- Voice: Husky, nasal, breathy, hoarse voice quality or loss of voice
